Excellent stuff. My time looks about the same - 1400 millisecs on my windows xp 1.86ghz pentium m laptop.
Our code is definitely miles faster that what's in the tree at the moment. If it is all right with you, i'll go through the code you sent me and try to integrate our ideas into a patch for Red5. I'll get that into the Jira bugtracker. I've already talked to the Red5 devs and they sound very positive about an integration of our code into their repository.
