Hi Chris, Thanks for providing more information. The C++ flvtool2 sounds great. Look forward to checking it out. Please do provide more info about any issues you are having and we can see what we can do to help. If the server hangs chances are its a deadlock, you can send us jstack trace of the jvm to help us fix these, or if its memory consumption, then chances are its buffer related. Having said that, given your rather narrow use of Red5 you it may be worthwhile running a custom cut down version of red5 just designed to handle your particular use case. You didn't say if you were using RTMP or RTMPT or both. I'm working on a bare bones streaming only, limited scope variant of Red5, nothing to show just yet but hopefully it will be good for these sorts of use cases.
