Fifa are set to rule next week on whether Fabien Barthez can complete his loan move from Manchester United to Marseille.
French Football Federation (FFF) president Claude Simonet revealed that documents would be sent on to Fifa by Monday morning. A decision on whether the player could move outside the official transfer window would then be made next week in Zurich by the world governing body, either on Thursday or Friday. "This morning the French Federation authorised the demand for a special dispensation to be sent to Fifa," said Simonet. "This will happen either later on Friday or Monday morning." Simonet would not say whether the FFF would support Marseille's bid to register Barthez, saying only: "It's a very individual case because it concerns Fabien Barthez. "The French Federation does not want to publicly express its opinion on the matter." [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------ Yahoo!
