I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are asking. TinyMCE may be used in IE, FireFox and Safari on both Windows and Mac OS without any special settings - I haven't tested unix platforms but I would suspect that the editor works within them. Only edit-via-form requires any kind of changes to RedDot code.
By default, the FCKEditor works in FireFox only. The FCKEditor will also work in IE if you make the changes listed here: http://webpress.missouristate.edu/FCKEditorVersion2.4.htm The FCKEditor distributed with RedDot (or on my site) will not work with Safari. I still haven't worked with Telerik editor yet as we haven't had a chance to upgrade our test box yet. I have started using the new Telerik editor in v9 and its fantastic to use!! Well overdue in my opinion!
