Arsalan, I have been using RedDot for a few months now. My advice? Forget EVERYTHING you have learned about content management systems. NOTHING is easy or obvious in RedDot. Usability for the developer is non- existent. Also, make certain you have the structure of your content and the design worked out in advance. (My designer drove me NUTS when he would ask me to move something in the layout or change a colour. What used to take a few seconds would LITERALLY take me a few hours.)
I work for a large corporation--when they bought this system, they bought some hours with a developer at RedDot. If I didn't have them helping me through, I would still be trying to hook up my style sheets! Sorry I can't help, but know you are not alone in your suffering! Also, just so you don't feel too bad, what would take me an afternoon to set up in something like ModX has taken 3 months in RedDot (and counting). -nestor On Jun 26, 9:49 am, Arsalan <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > I'm going through the EduSite practice exercises and I'm having a hard time > with some of the stuff.
