Hi Carol, Can you please go to Administer Publication->Select Project and do "Edit General Settings" in the action menu. You should see the following in the Appearance section:
In the Project Section: Do not follow page references when publishing Do not follow link references when publishing Publish all related pages Always replace pages Yes Always replace media files In the Appearance Section: Create automatic publishing jobs based on appearance schedules Start date (time) reached: Publish related pages Publish following pages End date (time) reached: Publish related pages Publish following pages I am not sure if you have already tried these settings, but nonetheless worth mentioning to look at these settings for your project. I am thinking probably tweaking these settings might help. I am not sure of your environment, but generally you setup your cms clustered and have your publishing server different from editing cms server to avoid these publishing issues. However, that is dependent on the licenses. If you have already tried these, then I would try to see what the publishing report log is saying, about why it is taking so long. Which is logical! and that's what we expect the product feature to work. However, this publishing process that is triggered for even one little item - seems to cause our CMS system to a crawl or non-responsive for at least 30 minutes or longer. This causes the CMS to be basically down and no users can get any response or work done. I opened a ticket up with Open Text and basically they stated for us to either not use that feature and manually remove or publish the items manually or to set the schedule to expire at midnight so it won't affect the production of users. Which I thought was funny - basically saying they know of this issue and don't use that feature! We are using Reddot 7.5. anyone have any suggestions or feedback regarding this issue?
