Hello, We are currently upgrading versions, from CMS 6.5 to MS 10. I am currently debugging a few user issues, mainly in SMART EDIT. I thought I'd throw them out there here, see if you guys have any tips. As it is, for a few of the questions that I have I will ask Reddot Support, so I'll be able to put some of the answers up here myself probably in a few days time.
--- THE OPEN PAGE REDDOT --- On page open, the scrollbar jumps to the level of the Open Page RedDot. Our webmasters find this highly annoying, especially the little time delay it causes between opening the page and being able to start editing. Anyone know how/where to disable this? --- THE FORM REDDOT --- The Form RedDot (as per usual) opens the form in a popup. But the "allow resize" of the popup is now disabled. Any idea where I can set this to enabled? The problem is that within the form popup, the text in our texteditors is a partially hidden. See screenshot: http://it.ibu.sanoma.be/joseph/reddot-ms10-edit-via-form-text-editor.jpg Maybe there are other solutions to this, but resizing/maximising the popup will certainly solve this and our webmasters are willing to do this. Alternatively I would like to control the popup dimensions (increase the width), which would require no further action from the webmaster. (?) I know there is now the FORM MODE button that opens the form in the browser, but our webmasters have expressed dissatisfaction on using this. --- RELEASE & PUBLISH --- Our workflow is very straight forward. First Release, then publish, wham bam thank you ma'am. A typical flow for us in CMS 6.5: Open page, Edit via Form, Actions >>> Release, Actions >>> Publish. (Messy) How this translates to MS 10: Open page, Edit via Form, Right-click >>> Release, [the page closes!], Open page (again!), Right-click >>> Publish. (Very messy) The fact that a release now causes the page to close is a disaster. So my first question is, does anyone know where I can change this setting? On release, keep page open, do not close the page. Second question, is there some plug-in that exists where the following would be all that is required: "Right-click >>> 'Release & Publish'". This would save our webmasters an unholy amount of time, and improve their opinion of RedDot ;) I know these are no biggies, but I want to make working in Smart Edit as pleasant as possible for my webmasters :)
