We are planning to move from a single server implementation, where one server is used for editing and publishing, to a clustered implementation, where the editor and publisher are separate.
Our advice from Open Text has been to install the new servers pointing to the production database. It is our understanding that this will not affect the single server installation. We are then planning to test the new servers and switch the DNS from the single server to the new editing server. Does anyone else have experience with a similar installation? We'd like to know if this is the easiest and best way to switch to a clustered environment with minimal downtime, if any. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RedDot CMS Users" group.
