Hi Tiffany,
We have done lots of implementations involving clustered OpenText MS
as well as Open Text Delivery Server. The way you are suggesting is
the best possible way to go, where you add additional cms servers
pointing to the same IoAdministration and IoApplication Databases as
your existing single installation. Though obvious, things to be on
look out for:
1) Your database server is different from your existing CMS server
instance, to avoid this content server being overloaded.
2) You should have good network connection between your to be
clustered CMS servers as well as to the Database server
3) The RedDot Content server clocks should be synchronized and not
have more than 2 minute deviation.
4) The most important of all is that you need to install the same CMS
server build that you currently have. All the Content servers in the
cluster must have the same build number.
5) The paths to the asset folders should be to UNC or mapped drive or
shared folder reachable from all the content servers.

Once working, then you can configure in your server manager the
asynchronous processes and select which server will handle
publication. After that, you can then have a load balancer in front of
your editing cms servers and do load balancing among the editing
servers and distribute the load across cms servers.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Prasanth.
