Its hard to tell what the cause of the problem is without access to your peoject..
however, i have encountered this problem in the past, and it was caused by the CSS for the site (in particular elements (Divs) that are positioned 'absolute' with specific stacking order (z-index) - which positioned itself on top of certain reddots.) hope that helps..
