Hi Emily and Kim ,thanks for the suggestions ...

I have been trying to delete the pages by searching using search
option under Smart Tree using keyword 'copy of' in headline and under
a given content class.
1)The result pages show lots of copies . when put in clipboard some of
them can be displayed in smart tree view ..e.g under 'Edit special
pages->unlinked->(or) Tree segments. While a lot of them give message
'Element could not be found in tree' even though they come up in
search results.

2)The Smart tree option to delete pages in clipboard is available for
'Unlinked Pages' category only. Is there a way to delete pages under
other categories as well from Smart tree interface.

I don't know using RQL . Any SQL would help here ..anything that can
be queried to the database at backend ..project database?

Thanks,
