When you say "disable" you mean do not check, correct? that's what we have set up and that seems to be working pretty well as all the images and stylesheets and such come in properly.
I have that product page isn't connected to multiple locations. The product page is actually not part of navigation (its too many levels down) so there is no list element to insert. All i have in that template for the navigation is <%!! Navigation:OutputArea(topMenu) !!%> so that cms inserts the appropriate navigation structure. its inserting it all, just without the / on my links. I guess i could hard code it in. not like it would hurt at higher levels.
