May I make a suggestion? I've had fvwm2 and fvwm running and used XFCE to
get a different appearance. Though it isn't the best, it's easy to set up
and modify (all mods while running). And it's easy to dump if you don't
want to use it.

My only complaint is it doesn't work as well under 8bpp (a current
requirement I have due to this stupid trident graphics board)

The rpm is in one of the contrib directories.
