I've just started playing around with minicom, and got a weird problem.
My communication to the modem is painfully slow. When I first fired
up minicom, I got pretty normal communication rates to the modem (ie:
Typing ATZ quickly brought back an OK) Now, It takes up to 30 seconds
to get any kind of response, and I'm not getting any echoed responses
from the modem. (in other words, minicom will dial out after a 30
second pause, but will never come back and say OK.)
I like to think I'm reasonably intelligent about these things (I've got
the device set to /dev/modem and have tried /dev/ttyS1, etc. I've also
played with the baud rates, etc.), but I can't figure out what I
screwed up. Anybody got any ideas?
