Hello-

This has probably been hashed out several times, but I can't find the
solution in the list archives. If there's a good web page, please point me
to it. Anyway, the question:

I'd like to have sendmail alias my linux username to my ISP username (from
andy to lindeman)... According to the not-so-helpful sendmail.org page
http://www.sendmail.org/faq/section3.html#3.2, I need to create a text file
/etc/userdb.txt with

andy:andy lindeman
lindeman:andy andy

and then do a:

makemap btree /etc/userdb < /etc/userdb.txt

I then remove the # from the line

 O UserDatabaseSpec=/etc/userdb

in sendmail.cf.

Is this it? It didn't work for me... Did I miss a step? Thanks for any
help. I am using RedHat 5.1. Andy

(note- I've already got the domain name masquerading working)

also note- I did stop and restart sendmail..
