I am in the process of upgrading to 5.1 now, from the CD-ROM.
I got a message that it couldn't unpack aout-lib (or something like that).
Is this library necessary to run Linux or can I just download it from the
net, or can I use the version that comes with 5.0 or Caldera-1.2?

Also, I was wondering about upgrading the kernel. If I want to retain the
modules and kernel configuration that I had before upgrading, do I have
to rebuild the kernel?
If so, is the old kernel still around, and if so where?

                                                  Thanks in advance:
                                                  Michael J. Yanowitz
