Yes you are right:')
8 million but mostly engineers and programmers according to latest stats.
the problem i have observed is that often for M$ bigots the offerings of
Linux are to good to be true;') They the other side are constantly hammered
into believing they are the chosen ones;') When we flame we only scare them
more and convince them that they should use windoze. I have observed trait in
many otherwise brilliant people who comment simply that *NIX is for computer
types no one else where they are constantly shown that they can operate
windows
with just there mouse... They are convinced by salespeople and marketeers
that
they have no real obstacles just drop the cd in and run setup. The only way
we
can win in the long run is to make it to the shelf more often and port all
we can of the 32 bit prog to run on linux. Once that big job is done the
public
will be more than happy to not pay for anymore monolithic junk. Many are not
aware that linux provides licence free servers that ultimately save money and
are more robust and flexible. Seems to me we have to get to the stores more
often
and get businesses converted.
