If all you want is RAID-0, you don't need the raid145 patch,
which is what fails on the 2.0.34 kernel source, so you
should be OK.

Sorry, didn't express myself very well. All the necessary
drivers are in the kernel source. Yes, you will need the
config tools. They are in the raidtools package I mentioned.

According to the software-RAID HOWTO, you need either
linuxthreads or glibc2. As you have RedHat 5.1, I assume you
are using glibc2, so you won't need linuxthreads.

raidtools is simply the md package with added support for
RAID-1, 4 & 5. All the tools you are used to are in there.
