I failed in installing the new tcl and tk files--yes, I tried all
of them--source and binary files. Now my original tcl/tk is
broken (4.2?).

First, what are the reasons for installing the latest upgrades to
tcl and tk? Do I even need them? I'm a writer who uses linux to
write (emacs) and for internet services.

And how do I reinstall the original version of tcl/tk that came
with my REDHAT 4.2.?

Thanks for any help.
