Have you applied all the RedHat errata updates? Unfortunately there were
a few problems with memory leaks in the kernel that was distributed, and
RH happened to release a new kernel which also (hopefully) fixes those
memory leaks.
Additionally, you might consider getting kernel-2.0.33, available in the
contrib directory on ftp.redhat.com.
