Dear All:
I am quite new to Linux.
I am setting up a new system to be network proxy server:
Hardware: Pentium 133 MHz, 2 IDE HD (2+2GB), 128 MB EDO RAM, 2 Ethernet
cards (External and Private IP's)
System: Linux Redhat 5.0 Feb 98
Cache server: Squid 1.1.20
The server works quite well for 2 or 3 days but hangs up with lines of error
message on the monitor:
Problem: Block $$$$ in the Freelist isn't free
>From other workstation, I can ping the server but couldn't telnet into it.
All workstations could not access the internet through this proxy server.
When this occurs, there is nothing to do but hard reboot the machine. After
fixing some zero Dtime inodes in both hard disks, it boots up and works
normally.
Has anyone seen this problem? How could I fix this problem?
I had tried to post this problem to the squid list but could not find any
solution yet. Someone said this might be Redhat's bug???
Thanks.
Khuanchai.
