It did that to me too. I just entered the correct info, killed Netscape
and opened it again. Then everything worked right.
It only seems to affect the server stuff. I also run juskbuster. It
sometimes quits on me and I can't go through local spam-killing. When I
change the proxy config it works right away. But, every time I change
the identity or server info, I have to stop NS and restart it to make it
change.
