Good Evening everybody ...
I have download a complete RedHat 5.0 copy from ftp. I have it on a separate DOS hard
drive. I tried many time to install it by following the instructions but no success
yet. I get stuck when it looks for RedHat software to complete the installation. It
can not recognize DOS format.
I created 2 images to start with. The boot and support disks. I start by booting my
machine with the boot image and later ask for hard drive installation. It then ask me
to insert the support disk and continue the installation. After setting up the
partitions, a utility shows up and ask me to define mounting points for root. It also
ask me to mount the source files. When I select the hard disk that holds a copy of
RedHat it gives an error message saying it might not contain any data. It does not
recognize DOS RedHat copy.
I accessed RedHat web site for more and accurate information about Hard drive
installation. Unfortunately I found very few useful information and at the bottom it
shows about 500+ users did not work for them.
I appreciate very much any help from you.
