The hurricane contrib version works fine for me, but NOT with kaffe
installed. I can't remember exactly what errors I got, but they weren't
far from what you're reporting. JDK and kaffe both try to provide some
of the same files (/usr/bin/java, for example). Uninstalling kaffe (and
guavac, just in case), then reinstalling JDK fixed it for me. Didn't
need to patch .java_wrapper.
