Hi everyone,

I'd like to know if there is a generic NIC diag program out there for
Linux? The reason that I ask is that I doubt that it's a hardware problem
with the network, more a conflict with settings.

I tested the 3com card with a dos program and it worked fine, I have
checked out the procs/interrupts file and it's sitting in IRQ 5 as tested.
Checking the boot up file with dmesg shows no problems with the card, I can
even ping it the machines IP address.

I can ping the ip address on the win95 machine of it's card, but get a
request timed out on the linux machine.

So I'm hoping that there is a general diag program out there that will at
least let me interogate the card and double check it's settings.

TIA

Pete
