I just hope that that will be soon, as CUPS is far superiour to LPRng with regard to getting it to work properly. I remember having major trouble with LPRng and a HP LaserJet 4+, where I just couldn't get the output centred properly (even asked on this list to no avail). Using CUPS solved the problem.
