All those programs are fine, but that doesn't necessarily mean you'll be
able to see all the traffic. That depends if your machines are connected
via a switch or hub. I'm not a networking expert, but I think with a
switch, you'll only see traffic directed to your own machine and
probably broadcast traffic.
