I'm having problems with creating a secure guest FTP account. The instructions say to edit the /etc/passwd file and add /./ to the end of the path to the user directory in order to keep the users from backing up to higher level directories. This is what my entry looks like in /etc/passwd:
robri:x:504:99::/www/docs/academic_programs/math/robri/./:/dev/null Yet, this user is able to back up all the way to the root directory, and download system files (including /etc passwd!). What am I missing here? -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
