OK, sorry it took me long to get back to this but I have made some progress.
I followed the steps and simply commented out the DAEMON_OPTIONS line from
the sendmail.mc. Now the problem I am having is that mail is not being
sent. I run a website that emails users passwords to them after they
register. After commenting this out, my clientmqueue directory fills up and
does not send anything out. So at this point I changed it back. How can I
enable sendmail to listen on 127.0.0.1 and eth0 at the same time?

Sendmail is configured to only listen on 127.0.0.1 by default. This is a
FAQ, but the mailing list archives are broken.

You have to edit sendmail.mc to comment out the DAEMON_OPTIONS line. then
rebuild sendmail.cf and restart sendmail.

This is true on a default RH 8.0 install?

I had this working correctly before when I was using Mandrake 9, using
sendmail, but I wanted to switch to RH 8.0 because that is what we run at
work and I wanted to use the same for learning purposes. So how do I go
about rebuilding the sendmail.cf after commenting out the DAEMON_OPTIONS
line?
