I have a RH8 box with 3 domains on it about 17 users. Until now we have been ok with just a username since there were no duplicates. Only problem was in Squrrelmail since you checked [EMAIL PROTECTED] at once by using a local username and occasionally replied from the wrong domain. The vlogin pluggin for squirrelmail is set up with "append_domain_name" turned off since I didnt have the system set up right.

Best way to do it would be virtualusers (I think) and now I have a need to have a [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED], these need to be different users. I tried creating a user with the "@domain" but of course it didn't work, so I assume what I need is virtual users ? I am using postfix and I saw a comment in the docs about using aliases for this. I need to have both bobs log into the machine however and have real accounts as well as e-mail. The real account part tells me that it would not be a virtualuser but something else, what would it be? so I can go read about it.

Where do I look ? I am reading the postfix docs right now but that is for mail ? A ISP I used to use when I telnet'd in, made me type in [EMAIL PROTECTED] so I know it can be done and I think that would be preffered.

Mike
