Probably incompatibilites in system libraries or GNOME 2.2 or something
similar.  Perhaps the new threading stuff (there's a workaround for that
in the RH 9 release notes which someone posted here earlier, provided
that's the problem).

Get the source for Connector and recompile it yourself.  Well, that is
what you would do if Ximian Connector weren't closed-source.  It's the
nature of proprietary solutions that you are forced to wait for the
vendor to make a release.  That being said, Ximian will probably have a
version for 9 sometime soon (probably after finishing Ximian Desktop for
RH 8 <wink>).

They didn't think to test that some other company's proprietary software
works on their open source OS?  I can't think of an answer to that that
wouldn't be taken as insulting, so I'll just let you think about it.
