I tried to upgrade ghostscript to 5.10 and got the following message:
[root@etec i386]# rpm -i --test ghostscript-5_10-4_i386.rpm
failed dependencies:
ghostscript-fonts-std is needed by ghostscript-5.10-4
[root@etec i386]#
I downloaded all the ghostscript and ghostview files from the
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/contrib/hurricane/i386/
directory.
I could upgrade the following:
ghostscript-fonts-5.10-1.i386.rpm 1518 Kb Wed Dec 17
11:05:00 1997
ghostscript-fonts-other-5.10-1.i386.rpm 810 Kb Wed Dec 17
11:05:00 1997
ghostview-1.5-8.i386.rpm 67 Kb Thu Apr 02
22:06:00 1998
ghostview-man-1.5-8.i386.rpm 11 Kb Thu Apr 02
22:06:00 1998
And had a problem with this:
ghostscript-5.10-4.i386.rpm 1295 Kb Thu Mar 12
00:20:00 1998
I could not find the ghostscript-fonts-std rpm. Can someone tell me where I
can get this,
so I will be able to install/upgrade to 5.10?
Also how do I extract the README from this rpm file, because it is supposed
to have instructions
on how to install it.
"* Read the ghostscript-5.10-4.README file for installation hints" But I
cann't get
to it!
