download j2re-1_4_1_03-fcs-linux-i586.rpm from java.sun.com and install
the rpm.
then go to the mozilla plugin directory, say
"/usr/lib/mozilla-1.3.1/plugins"
and make a link to the file
"/usr/java/j2re1.4.1_03/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so"

#cd /usr/lib/mozilla-1.3.1/plugins
#ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.1_03/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so .

have fun...

Subject: installing java plugin for Mozilla

Anybody got a faq or doc on how to install the java plugin for Mozilla?
Netscape has the install docs for their browser, but that doesn't really
work for Mozilla.
