We have a Laser-Jet5Si that I would like to be able to setup as as our
default printer over our companies intranet. I know the IP address but I'm
wondering if someone can point me in the right direction for how to do this.
The HowTo's were a little sparse on Ethernet printer setups and I don't see
much in the way of setting up this type of printer under the control-panel.
I wanted to call the default printer lj5 to avoid anyone having to use
the -P option and simply do it with lpr.
If you have any tips I would sure appreciate hearing them, or where to
point me in the right direction. Running RH 4.2. Thanks again.
