I was curious if anyone on this list uses KDE or the associated apps at all?
I've tried to compile a number of KDE apps on a RedHat 6.1 box (full
installation) and have been unable to do so. Ever time I run the ./configure
script I keep getting the following error:
checking for kde headers installed... yes
checking for kde libraries installed... configure: error: your system fails at
inking a small KDE application!
Check, if your compiler is installed correctly and if you have used the
same compiler to compile Qt and kdelibs as you did use now
I've tried installing the source for Qt 2.0.1-5 and the Qt 1.XX sources, as
well as kdelibs, and recompiling them using rpm -ba foo.spec. Even after
recompiling and re-installing the packages I get this same error. I don't know
enough to fix this beyond what I've done, so if anyone can help, I would really
like to get this working, since RedHat is more stable on my hardware than
Linux-Mandrake (the other distribution I've been trying.)
Thanks for your time in advance.
