Dear Brian:
I used to use KDE in Caldera OpenLinux and the only reason I changed from RH
5.2 to RH 6.0 was to get KDE to work "out of the box". I use it as my GUI and
works great. No need to recompile anything or make weird setups. Just
installing the packages in a custom install. In fact, I am writing this mail
using kmail in KDE, running on a 486/66 with 16 MB of RAM and 400 MB in HD,
using a 98% of the drive. So, if it works here, I guess it should work in
almost *any* machine. Have you tried installing your KDE in another box? Maybe
you have corrupt files...
