Has anyone on the list had any luck configuring the following
soundcards:
- Model CT2900, ViBRA 16S chip,
"VIBRA 16SALT" sticker,
4 external, black, silver or grey plug-style sockets
- Model CT2960, ViBRA 16C chip,
"SBPRELUDE" sticker,
4 external, black, silver or grey plug-style sockets
- Model CT4180, ViBRA 16C chip,
3 external, black, plug-style sockets
- Model CT4170, ViBRA 16XV chip,
3 external, multi-coloured, plug-style sockets
If so, can you please let me know what settings you used?
So far, the only documentation I've been able to find on these cards was
on the CT4170 in the Sound-HOWTO:
---
6.35 Problems with a SB16 CT4170
>From Scott Manley ( [EMAIL PROTECTED]):
There seems to be a new type of Soundblaster - it was sold to us as a
SB16 - the Model no. on the Card is CT4170. These Beasties only have one
DMA channel so when you try to set them up then the kernel will have
trouble accessing the 16 bit DMA. The solution is to set the second DMA
to 1 so that the card will behave as advertised.

Any information would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
