Well, I suppose it depends then, doesn't it?

I have Access 97 on my Win98 system and could buy Visual Basic if I
needed it.

I'm a competitive shooter and would like to work up databases of both
cartridge reloading information and competition results. I've got a
Linux server and network, so I figured that it'd be more interesting to
do it in SQL on Linux than just to do it in Access. I've got a server
and one workstation and the parts for a second workstation. I plan to
access competition data from my main system, and set up the second
workstation next to my reloading press so that I can enter and retrieve
reloading data as I work. This second machine will be a Linux
workstation running on a Pentium 133. This would allow me to use my
databases from either workstation, Win98 or Linux, interchangeably.

Got any suggestions?

This MAY not be necessary depending on what you're programming in. The
only
reason I say this is that on Borland's lists there's a lot of wrappers
to
talk directly to things like MySQL. It may be worth having a look at
something like this first?

Just a suggestion.
