I just installed one of these in an NT machine, where winmodems don't work
and there's no plug&pray.  The doc (just a folded up poster thinggy)
included instructions for setting the port and IRQ using the jumpers.  I
see no reason why the same approach wouldn't work in linux or any other
non-Wxx operating system.
