No, I mean the eject button on the superdisk drive. It isn't the same as a
floppy disk, it's electronic, and when in Linux, I can't insert a disk into
the drive(because it is electronically loaded in after a certain point), or
if there was one in there to begin with, I can't eject it.

it doesnt respond to an eject that i know of. is the disk an ext2
partition or fat32? if its fat32 you need to edit the /etc/fstab again
and change the filesystem type to 'vfat'. then just mount it. i have
no problems with mine at all and there is no need to recompile the
kernel.
