Don't use -c in the command line :)
You've requested that the remote server do a checksum on a 640 meg file,
which will take several minutes and put a heavy load on the server. You
should be fine without that argument.
As promised, I also set up rsync on duke.
rysnc duke.eburg.com::
should show only the ftp module.
