redhat 6.x ETHx kernel panic

I am getting a kernel panic and it is listing the device as ETHx.  It seems to be random.  It runs for days, then suddenly it crashes.   I have swapped out the supposed offending nic card several times.  It always seems to be a 3Com card.  Is there any problems with this and redhat 6.1 & 6.2   I have (2) 3c905x cards and (1)smc 9432x cards in the offending machine.  (dhcp server).   Any seen this or know how to fix it.  Without this DHCP our network is dead!   Please help!   -Charles
