Yeah. Stay away from any modem that says "works with
Windows 95/98" or "requires Windows 95/98" or anything
similar. The ONLY *known* non-winmodem which is a PCI modem
is made by Phoebe Micro. It's got a TI chipset on it, and
is essentially a clone of the USR modems.

If you choose to get an EXTERNAL modem (unless it's a USB
modem, it's 99.999% likely to work fine!) make sure it's a
SERIAL modem, not a USB modem. USB support ain't there yet
for USB modems.

If you want internal, get ISA. AOpen makes a good 56k ISA
internal which is 100% hardware -- non-winmodem.
