The normal method would be to reply to the list, but in some MUA's if you
set the reply to address, then this overides the list as the default return
 (in most cases, however it has changed a few times)

A reply to all should allow to respond to the list and the original mailers
email address, but I cannot remember it ever working that way, at least for
me.
