Try not to get to creative with your solution or you might not have a
job anymore :-)
(those firewalls are there for a reason.. )
You aren't really 'penetrating' the firewall on your windows machines,
thats not a good word to use.
Instead the traffic if being diverted/channeled to a *managed* port that
everyonce else on the lan uses as well..
To have your linux box join the rest of the machines in using the proxy,
you must specify for each piece of software the proxy port.
in Netscape, its in the preferences->advanced->Proxies->manual proxy
config
from there you will find proxy hostnames and the relevant ports attached
to that proxy.
That is just netscape... you also have to specify the proxy for napster
as well , IF your compny provides a proxy for napster.... although that
is unlikely.
