        What?

        I've got a 4000N with a JetDirect interface card in it now.  From
the RedHat printer control panel, I just set it up as a remote printer and
print queue lp.  Printer type was defined as LaserJet 5 (I think that was
about the highest), which give me HP-PCL level 5, at 600 dpi (other printers
may vary).  I think I also went back and set back up as a PostScript
printer (build-in postscript).  It just worked without a problem.  You
do have to have the lp print service (as opposed to or including the
DLC service) enabled on the printer but that's on by default.  It's
almost like "how is it that you have managed to NOT have it work"...
