i just did that actually trying to figure this out :)..i go to thinking.....well if on 
boot it doesn't like the irq param well i'll just remove it and see what happens....so 
I did..i just #'d the options line and whala!!!!! instant connect no more
manual stuff for this kid :-)!!!! LOL

the reason i was stumped is its set to ( sorry!! for typo in last email i meant "9" 
not "6" ) irq 9 in linuxconf and i've always been able to connect via netcfg just fine 
so i figured 9 was fine.....
