Since upgrading to Red Hat 7 and kernel 2.4, my OpenGL games have
stopped working. I don't know whether to blame XFree86, the kernel,
both, something else...

The docs I've been able to find from 3Dfx are looking out of date, with
no real info on XFree 4, DRI (other than calling them "developer only"
topics), or Linux 2.4. And with 3Dfx being swallowed up, I'm wondering
if I may be out of luck.

One of the games I'm having trouble with is Myth2; Loki Games recommend
what looks like a beta development version of the Glide libraries for
use with RH7 (Glide3-20000823-1.i386.rpm and the corresponding devel
package), and last I checked I couldn't find a newer package, but
something is still missing. Myth runs, but doesn't display anything
past the splash screen successfully, I just get a black display with a
mouse pointer.

My kernel is compiled with support for the Voodoo 3, lsmod lists:

Module Size Used by
tdfx 56400 1
agpgart 15648 1
<snip>

...don't know if that matters or not.

I don't know if this matters either, but I do not have the /dev/3dfx
file that used to exist; the Loki docs on RH7 haven't mentioned it, and
the source I have complains when I try to build it against a 2.4 kernel
tree (rpm --rebuild Device3Dfx-2.3-5.src.rpm). So for now I'm assuming
that this is something I don't need anyhow.

Version info:

Red Hat 7, patched
kernel 2.4.0 (release)
XFree86-4.0.1-1
tdfx_dri-4.0.1-1
