Well, I'd disagree, here...with the exception of .exe attachments, there
isn't much need to not deep-six anything with a Visual Basic attachment,
and in all honesty, most Linux systems are not yet used as desktop
systems. It is reasonable to assume that the users are running Windows
systems, probably with some variant of Outlook as the default mailer.

It's called procmail...the global /etc/procmailrc is a great place for a
global filter.

If it's a corporate email system then the user really doesn't get to make
those decisions, does he/she?
In business situations, email is a tool, provided by the employer, to be
used as the employer decides is appropriate. As such, the employer also
gets to determine the type of email that enters/exits that mail system.
