Parallel port Zip drives use a SCSI driver (indeed they are SCSI devices
with a SCSI<->parallel port adaptor built in).

My guess is that scanning the SCIS bus *might* look for a Zip drive
amongst other things. And that's what's burfing at you. My guess is that
you can safely ignore it (well, unless you do have a parallel port Zip
drive).

Of course, I have only speculated here, and NOT speaking from experience
nor from knowledge, you may want to take it with a grain of salt.
